Book review: “You’re Not Crazy and You’re Not Alone”

Hello fellow Hashi’s. I’ve been fortunate to have recently received a few new books for review and I’d like to share them with you.

First up, Stacey Robbins’ new book on Hashimoto’s…….my review of this one is actually printed on page one of the book so i’ll copy it here:

” I’ve read most of the Thyroid / Hashimoto’s books out there and have gained a well-rounded education on all the best ways to manage it, but this book is different.  “You’re Not Crazy and You’re Not Alone” delves into the emotions behind those with Hashimoto’s. This hit home to me as someone who’s always strongly felt that my Hashimoto’s was at Least partially triggered by emotional stress. Stacey has written a poignant, emotionally-stirring account of her journey with Hashimoto’s which also serves to put us in touch with our own emotions and how they play a role in our health and well being. Our members of the Hashimoto’s 411 group have always given Stacey’s writings positive feedback and they’ve always begged for more in the form of a book – she has definitely delivered!”

So, is this book a must have for your Hashi book collection…….an emphatic YES!  This really is different from all the other books on how to manage your disease and  just as useful and important. It contains tips, recommendations and resources  on how to handle the emotions. It takes you on a spiritual journey through Hashimoto’s without being religious or preachy. A must have.
